ok, although i have a diploma in programming and extensively studied O.S XP and vista i find myself with a problem. I have several music files located in many sub-folders and i want to select them all without individually going into each of them, a search will not help me with this. Have you any ideas.

did you try adding them to your favorites list… you will still have to go to each song to add them but onece they are there all you have to do is play them from the favorites list

by searching with wild cards like *.mp3, *.wav, *.rm etc., It may be easear for you. or if you have a lot of douplicate files in sub-folders you can identify and delete them by using some third party softwares. (Ex: ACE Utlities or find douplicate’s).
if this information is not sufficient just be clear in your question. so, that we cam to know what exactly you want.

I would to download music without paying for it.

I have been using LimeWire all my life, until it gave my computer a Trojan Horse. I would like your opinion/s on another program which is as good or better, while being completely safe!

hey i have been using kptunes for a while and i am happy the way it works. i have used other sites to download music but wasn’t happy the way it worked and ended up catching viruses. since i am using kptunes i never ever caught any virus. they have the largest network and biggest music collection with the best and good quality sound track. if you want to download music then you should try it out. you will like the easy and best way to download your favorite music.

Well, first off you are not supposed to download music for free. (Just getting the legal jargan outta the way.)

Secondly, use a torrent program, Utorrent, bittorrent, something like that.

Thirdly, use a website that gives you torrents, my favorite is Mininova.org, or you can use piratebay, there are lots of sites out there. Usually you can only download whole albums, or everything an artist has done, but usually you can select which songs or videos or files you want and don’t want before you start downloading.

I’m looking for a simple music editing program that can lower/raise pitch. I’ve outgrown some of my old instrumental tracks. They’re either too high or too low now. They’re still good, but if I could lower/raise the pitch around 1-2 notes, that’s be amazing. Is there any music program I could use for that? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you!

Delete any unused or unnecessary programs and files. These may be taking up space, memory and resources, thus slowing your computer. Also delete your cashe/ temp files, empty your recycle bin, clear your internet browsing history, etc.

I can’t get cable in my dorm room so I use the internet to watch most of my television shows. For some reason it seems to take longer to load videos on my laptop than other people’s laptops. I have a brand new Macbook and there’s no reason why it should be running so slow. So I was just wondering if anyone knew what was causing it to run slower on my computer than everyone else’s. Or if there’s something I can do to make videos load faster on my laptop. Thanks.

I’m trying to help my friend with her officelive web page (www.planbcreations.com). It is hosted for free by Microsoft and we recently switched from the built in page editors to making the webpage in Dreamweaver.

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make a contact form on the web page that just sends the e-mail without opening up their default e-mail client to send it.

Officelive definitely doesn’t support .PHP.

Any suggestions of how I can do this so that the user can fill in information on the form, hit submit, and just have it submit it without opening the user’s e-mail client?

Now, to be honest, I’m scared of the registry. I don’t want to do something wrong and screw my friend’s laptop up even more than it already was.

I used the CTRL + F command while in Registry Editor, and searched for the first of those keys, and it found it. under the key there are three sub-folders (thats what they seem like) they are:
(default) type: REG_SZ data: (Vaule not set)
Compatibility Flags type: REG_DWORD Data: 0×00000400 (1024)
Pst type:REG_DWORD Data: 0×00000002 (2)

NOW WHAT DO I DO? Do I delete the whole key? or what DO I DO? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I’m working on my friends computer, trying to fix it. He has the ‘XP Security Center’ virus (a rogue antivirus program [spyware])
I’ve looked into manually removing the spyware, and it told me to follow these steps:
Delete files using Run-> cmd-> regsvr32 /u filename.dll

I’ve searched for all the files using that, and none were found, so I guess they aren’t there maybe?..

I have access to both my laptop’s registry and gpedit.msc

when i go to add a trusted site in internet explorer, the fields are disabled.

where do i go and what do i do in either the registry editor (regedit.exe) or the GPO editor (gpedit.msc) to change this?
