Well if you download another program doesnt it make that one useless too? So i guess when using it, it deletes it self Click START, in the run box type MSCONFIG and go to the STARTUP tab. This is the programs that run from startup. I would advise disabling anything you dont need in there but make sure you leave the firewall/antivirus programs running.

Startup Inspector will tell you what all the applications and processes are and will allow you to disable any of them from starting at bootup. You can still start them later if you want.
