I am planning to buy a bigger harddisk soon. The last times I did that it took me till morning to completely transfer files from my 200Gb to bigger one. I need some program that will be able to copy 250Gb worth of files from one disk to another.

What would be recommended software for this purpose?
That question is more complex than it sounds.

If you are copying from one disk to a same-size partition on the new hard drive, you can clone or image one to the other. The software to do this can be downloaded from the website of the new HD’s manufacturer. That’s a good idea if your original partition contains an operating system–you want the OS to hang together, so cloning or imaging works best to keep everything synchronized.

For simple data files copied to another drive or partition of a different size, individual file copying still works best. A dual-pane file manager like 7-Zip in addition to xplorer2 lite or FreeCommander will give you good control over file management.

Another alternative that might work for you is RichCopy.

You could always use Windows Movie Maker, which I quite like.I think you have to download it for earlier versions of XP, but for Media Center Edition, and Vista, it should be on there as standard.For burning/ripping, I use Nero 7 and DVD Shrink, for editing though, I use WMM.

Never heard of that computer. Easist thing to do is a system restore in XP to the time before you deleted the driver. You should have the driver disks for it somewhere. If not you will need to find your sound chipset and find drivers online. Luckily it was only the sound that got messed up.

The type of PC is not important. Take the side off and see if you have onboard sound or a PCI card. Do your best to identify the sound card manufacturer and go to their website to get the driver. A PCI card is easy to identify because it will have a label or a printed model number on the card, which you can do a google search and it will tell you who makes it. The onboard is tricky. Best to find online pictures that show you where to look on the motherboard. The sound chip on the motherboard is usually located right above the AGP slot, or somewhere near there. All motherboards are different though, so yours may not be in that spot.

Well if you download another program doesnt it make that one useless too? So i guess when using it, it deletes it self Click START, in the run box type MSCONFIG and go to the STARTUP tab. This is the programs that run from startup. I would advise disabling anything you dont need in there but make sure you leave the firewall/antivirus programs running.
